The device has discharge pipes, which emits ultraviolet radiation and is arranged in a test environment like in a test room. The polymer material is embedded in a solar cell or a solar module. One of the ends of one of the discharge pipes is arranged in a tempering holder depending on the test environment. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for detecting the changes in properties of a material, particularly a polymer material, ehtylenvinylacetate or silicone rubber; and (2) a holder.
