<p>A coated article, in particular a tool for cutting machining, has at least one titanium diboride layer which has been deposited by a thermal CVD process and has a thickness of at least 0.1μm. The titanium diboride layer has an extremely fine-grained microstructure with an average grain size of not more than 50 nm.</p> |
