The arrangement (10) has a guide sleeve (14) leading a thread cutter (12) when inserting a thread into a borehole, where the thread cutter is screwed into the guide sleeve when inserting the thread into the borehole. The thread cutter has a stop surface (20) for limiting cutting depth of the thread cutter. The thread cutter has a guidance external thread (24), and the guide sleeve has a complementary guidance internal thread (38). Outside diameter of the stop surface corresponds to outside diameter of the guide sleeve.
