The plate (10) has an edge protection strip (12) comprising a U-shaped section by which the plate is gripped at a plate-outer edge. The strip has a projection (14) at its inner side, where the projection is gripped in a complementary recess (16) in the plate for fixing the strip at the plate. The strip covers an upper side of the plate, where the upper side of the plate has thickness minimized about profile-cross sectional thickness of the strip so that the upper side coplanar in a surface of the strip.
