The tie-down loop has a loop (20) pivotably supported at a floor part (10) around a rotational axis, and forming a shaft section. A complementary formed support area (12) is integrally formed with the floor part. The shaft section pivotably supported in the support area around the rotational axis is undetactably connected with the floor part in an assembled tie-down loop. The floor part and the loop are formed as forged parts, where the loop is arranged at a top side of the floor part. A slot (15) is formed in the floor part and is opened to a lower side of the floor part. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a tie-down loop for a load area of a motor vehicle.
