PURPOSE: A novel organic electroluminescent compound and an organic electroluminescent device employing the same are provided to ensure excellent light emitting efficiency and lifetime of devices and proper color coordinate. CONSTITUTION: A novel organic electroluminescent compound is represented by chemical formula 1.
