摘要 <p>Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an electrochemical display element in which an electrolytic solution containing a highly polymerized compound is sealed by a seal member between two electrode substrates disposed to face each other, the method comprising a step for forming the seal member in an annular shape at the peripheral edge of one of the electrode substrates, a step for dropping a predetermined amount of the electrolytic solution such that the electrolytic solution is dotted on the surface of the one electrode substrate on which the seal member is formed or the other electrode substrate, a step for forming columnar bodies by hardening the surface of the dropped electrolytic solution, a step for dropping the electrolytic solution on the surface of the electrode substrate on which the columnar bodies are formed, a step for overlapping the two electrode substrates in a reduced-pressure atmosphere and sealing the electrolytic solution by the seal member, and a step for hardening the seal member, wherein the columnar bodies are formed so as to temporarily maintain therebetween a predetermined space larger than the space between the two electrode substrates which is defined by the seal member even after the second electrolytic solution dropping step, and the step for sealing the electrolytic solution is performed in the state in which the columnar bodies maintain the predetermined space therebetween.</p>
