<p>A method, device and distributed base station system for transmitting data are provided. The method comprises the following steps: a radio remote unit (RRU) compresses in-phase (I)/quadrature (Q) data of every antenna, and generates a message code stream from the compressed data; the RRU sends the generated message code stream to a building base band unit (BBU); the BBU receives the message code stream, extracts the compressed I/Q data from the message code stream, and decompresses the compressed I/Q data to obtain the I and Q data of every antenna. The present invention compresses the I/Q data of the antenna at the RRU side, transmits the compressed I/Q data between the RRU and BBU, and decompresses the compressed I/Q data to recover the data which has been compressed at the BBU side, therefore optical modules which support lower data transmission rates can be employed to carry out the transmission and the bearing rates of links are improved on the basis of no cost increase.</p> |
