<p>The present invention relates to a spreader for spreading straw and other harvest residues over ground (9), comprising a straw chopper (2) having an inlet for unchopped straw and an outlet (21) for chopped straw which is essentially horizontally directed, and down streams of said outlet (21) an oscillating spreading member (14) comprising an elongate straw stream deflector which is pivotally mounted in an outlet facing end thereof and driven in an essentially horizontal plane over ground by a drive unit (31) between two end positions. The drive unit (31) is adapted to drive said spreading member (14) such that the dwell time in at least one position at or between said end positions is different than the dwell time in an other position.</p> |
