<p>A method and an apparatus for processing multimedia messages are provided, which enable effectively blocking a junk multimedia message, and preventing dispersion of the junk multimedia messages during the multimedia message process. The method involves: extracting the first digital fingerprint of a received multimedia message, wherein the first digital fingerprint comprises the attribute information of at least one multimedia file in the multimedia messages; searching the second digital fingerprint matching with the extracted first digital fingerprint from all the stored second digital fingerprints, wherein the second digital fingerprint comprises the attribute information of at least one multimedia file of pre-set junk multimedia messages; returning a response for refusing sending and making the multimedia message center refuse to send the multimedia message, if the second digital fingerprint which matches with the first digital fingerprint is found.</p> |
