LUMINESCENT GLASS ELEMENT, MANUFACTURING METHOD AND LUMINESCENCE METHOD THEREOF

A luminescent glass element comprising a luminescent glass substrate and a metal layer with a metal microstructure on the surface of the substrate is provided. The luminescent glass substrate comprises composite oxides of the following chemical formula: aM2O·bY2O3·cSiO2·dDy2O3, wherein M represents an alkali metal element, a, b, c and d represent mol parts and are individually in the ranges of 25 to 60, 1 to 30, 20 to 70 and 0.001 to 10. A manufacturing method of the luminescent glass element and a luminescence method by using it are also provided. The luminescent glass substrate has the metal layer on it and its luminescence efficiency can be enhanced. Therefore, it can be used in ultra high-bright luminescence devices which operate at high-speed.
