<p>Disclosed is a protection switching method for Ethernet path, which includes: switching a group of Traffic Engineering Services Instance (TESI) from an active entity to a standby entity when the protection switching is triggered. Also disclosed is a protection switching system for Ethernet path, which includes a protection switching unit, used for switching a group of TESI from an active entity to a standby entity when the protection switching is triggered. By adopting the method and system of the present invention, a path protection and a linear protection for a end-to-end TESI can be combined together.</p> |
