Disclosed are an optical disc production method and an optical disc production line, both of which can achieve a series of operations including an ashing treatment rapidly and with high efficiency.  The optical disc production line (11) for an optical disc (1) includes the systems for conveyance of an optical disc substrate (3) (22,25,28,32,36).  The optical disc production line (11) is characterized by achieving: a molding step of injection-molding an optical disc substrate (3) having a recording surface (2) on which a concave-convex pattern (6) is formed; a film formation step of forming a reflective film (4) on the recording surface (2); and an ashing step of carrying out an ashing treatment of the recording surface (2) of the molded optical disc substrate (3) in the time between the molding step and the film formation step.
