METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING SECURITY OF ARTICLE DELIVERY

A method and system for improving the security of article delivery are provided. Such a method for improving the security of article delivery includes: an addresser requires delivering an article; a two-dimensional character array code which is associated with the article delivery is generated; the two-dimensional character array code is sent to a mobile terminal of the pre-designated addresser by short-message-service; the mobile terminal of the addresser displays the two-dimensional character array code which has been received; and the fetcher of a deliverer reads out the two-dimensional character array code with a portable optical reading device, if the verification of the two-dimensional character array code is passed, the addresser delivers the article to the fetcher. The step of generating the two-dimensional character array code which is associated with the article delivery may be performed by a third party independent of the addresser and deliverer. The portable optical reading device may also feed the two-dimensional character array code which has passed the verification and the identifier number of the portable optical reading device back to the third party.
