Pharmaceutical compositions based on anticholinergically effective compounds and beta-mimetics

A new pharmaceutical composition contains an anticholinergic agent (I) and a beta -mimetic agent (II). An independent claim is included for the preparation of the composition, by mixing and formulating (I), (II) and optionally further auxiliaries, using conventional methods. ACTIVITY : Antiasthmatic; In tests against acetyl choline-induced bronchospasm in narcotized dogs, the reduction of bronchial resistance 0.5-3 hours after administration of test drugs by inhalation was ca. 10 % using 3 mu g formoterol, ca. 30 % using 3 mu g tiotropium bromide and ca. 85 % using a combination of 3 mu g formoterol and 3 mu g tiotropium bromide.
