A method and apparatus for filtering Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) are disclosed in the present invention, which are used for enhancing the accuracy of CQI so as to enhance the performance of High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). The method includes the steps of: obtaining a current channel quality indicator reported by a user terminal during a current scheduling period; obtaining an average channel quality indicator of a sequence of channel quality indicators, wherein, the sequence of channel quality indicators includes at least two channel quality indicators reported by the user terminal before the current scheduling period; according to the variation characteristic of the sequence of channel quality indicators, determining an expected channel quality indicator from the current channel quality indicator and the average channel quality indicator; according to the expected channel quality indicator, determining the channel quality indicator used during the current scheduling period. A method and apparatus for data transmission are also disclosed in the present invention. |
