<p>A radio remote module and a power amplifier protection method thereof are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes optical signal detection processing: detecting whether there is not optical signal in the optical port of the radio remote module, if yes, turning off the baseband signal transmitted to a power amplifier. The radio remote module includes an optical signal detection unit and a baseband signal turn-off unit, wherein, the optical signal detection unit is used to detect whether there is not optical signal in the optical port of the radio remote module, if yes, transmitting a turn-off signal for the baseband signal to the baseband signal turn-off unit; the baseband signal turn-off unit is used to turn off the baseband signal transmitted to the power amplifier according to the turn-off signal of the baseband signal. The present invention can improve the power amplifier protection function of the radio remote module, and advance the reliability of the distributed base station.</p> |
