Disclosed are a nonhuman animal model of myocardial infarction, which can be constructed by a less invasive method, shows an extremely low fatality during and after surgical induction of myocardial infarction, ensures the reflow of the blood after necrotizing cardiac muscles by interrupting the blood flow, and, therefore, is usable in topical therapy for myocardial infarction and researches for regenerative medicine, and a method for constructing the nonhuman animal model. The construction method comprises: a step for blocking a branched blood vessel of a heart coronary artery by dosing a temporary embolizing agent to the branched blood vessel to interrupt the blood flow in said branched blood vessel; and a step for, after the passage of a definite period of time after the step for blocking the branched blood vessel, dosing a temporary embolizing agent to a target coronary artery, in which myocardial infarction is to be induced, to interrupt the blood flow in said coronary artery. In a preferred embodiment, the branched blood vessel as described above is a branched blood vessel of the target coronary artery in which myocardial infarction is to be induced.
|
