[Class 12 (i).] A housing for a shaft bearing is formed in two parts 13, 14, each surrounding the bearing and having a pedestal 15, 16, or the like, for attachment to a support. The parts 13, 14 are angularly adjustable relatively to one another about the axis of the bearing so that the pedestals 15, 16 may be set at various angular positions. As shown, the parts 13, 14 are clamped together by four bolts 18 so that four settings, one of which is shown in Fig. 6, can be made. The housing parts 13, 14 may abut with or without a spigoted joint therebetween, or, as shown, a liner 21 may be positioned between the housing and the bearing 12.</p> |
