<p>Disclosed are: a polarizing plate wherein partial deformation failure is prevented from occurring under high temperature high humidity conditions, while achieving adequate visibility (clearness) at the same time; and a liquid crystal display using the polarizing plate. Specifically disclosed is a polarizing plate in which a protective film, a polarizing film, and a hard coat film that has a hard coat layer on a base film are laminated in this order. The polarizing plate is characterized in that the hard coat layer has 500-200,000 projections per mm2 and has an arithmetic average surface roughness (Ra) (in accordance with JIS B0601, 2001) of 2-20 nm, and the hard coat film has a haze value (Hh) of 0.2-0.6%.</p> |
