It is possible to easily and effectively produce an intentionally designed glycopeptide. For this, disclosed is a method for producing a modified peptide in which at least one amino acid residue capable of binding to a sugar is modified by a modification group, comprising: a step (A) for obtaining a protected peptide having two or more amino acid residues capable of binding to a sugar, in which at least one of the amino acid residues capable of binding to a sugar is protected by a protecting group and at least another one of the amino acid residues capable of binding to a sugar is not protected; a step (B) for binding said modification group to at least one non-protected amino acid residue capable of binding to a sugar in the protected peptide obtained in step (A); and a step (C) for deprotecting the protecting group in the protected peptide having the modified group obtained in step (B). |
