<p>The method for regulating water cooling of continuous casting mold that consists of copper, copper alloy or copper alloy coating, comprises throttling and/or de-energizing the water cooling external of the casting mold namely between two casting processes sequentially following in temporal interval or after the termination of an individual or last casting process in order to minimize the cooling speed of copper or copper alloy. The material temperature is measured at places over the mold width and/or mold length at the casting side turned to the steel.
