<p>A touch pad (101) for acquiring acoustic signals resulting from touch events. The touch pad comprises: a surface (105) having an area in which the touch events may be formed; transducer means (201-204) for acquiring the acoustic signals at a plurality of different locations in the surface; and output means (103) for supplying representations of the acoustic signals to analogue to digital converting means. A plurality of the transducer means (201-204) is configured so as to electrically combine acoustic signals from a plurality of the different locations into a combined signal for the output means.</p> |
