PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing an OTP(One Time Password) by an index exchange, a mobile phone and a recording medium are provided to enable a server to authenticate a mobile phone as a valid OTP medium by transmitting OTP medium authentication information to a server of a communication network. CONSTITUTION: An authentication processor(160) transmits OTP medium authentication information to a server of a communication network, and requests the mobile phone to be authenticated as an OTP medium. An index processor(155) determines one index value plural indexes dynamically. A receiver(165) receives server-side OTP generation information matched with the index value. An information configuration unit(170) configures OTP generation information by combining terminal-side OTP generation information with the server OTP generation information.
