PURPOSE: A heat exchanger for a boiler using both combustible fuel and electricity to minimize the use of combustible fuel since desired energy is automatically changed from electricity to combustible fuel or in a reverse order according to the charged amount of battery. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger(10) for a boiler using both combustible fuel and electricity comprises a heating-water passage(11) and a hot-water passage(12). The heating-water passage discharges the water, which flows through a water circulating hole, to a hot-water hole. One end of the hot-water passage is used as a raw-water hole and the other end of the hot-water passage is used as the ho-water hole. The lower part of the heating-water passage is bent in the letter "L" shape and the heating-water passage is divided into a first side and a second side. Although the heat is supplied to the first side using combustible fuel, the heat is supplied to the second side using electricity and thus the water of the heating-water passage and the hot-water passage are heated.
