BACK LIGHT UNIT

PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to improve the optical coupling efficiency between light emitting diodes and a light guide plate and prevent the light loss. CONSTITUTION: A base(51a) is placed between a light guide plate and a lower chassis, and a bar is extended from the base and has a wall unit arranged along the side portion of the light guide plate. A printed circuit board(53) is arranged on the wall unit. Light emitting diodes(55) are mounted in the printed circuit board and arranged along the side plane of the light guide plate.
