HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A heat pump system is provided to simplify a refrigerant cycle by removing valves, a refrigerant pipe and a receiver, which are used for separating the refrigerant flow for a heating mode from the refrigerant flow for a cooling mode. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump system comprises a compressor(110), a branch valve, a condenser, an evaporator, a bi-directional expansion valve(140) and a refrigerant pipe. The compressor compresses the refrigerant. The branch valve controls the flow direction of the refrigerant, which is discharged from the compressor, according to a heating mode or a cooling mode. The condenser condenses the refrigerant. The evaporator evaporates the refrigerant. The bi-directional expansion valve expands the refrigerant in a first direction in the cooling mode and in a second direction, which is opposite to the first direction, the refrigerant pipe circulates the refrigerant.
