PURPOSE: A washing machine having a rotating compressor is provided to improve washing efficiency by supplying compressed air into the drum. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine having a rotating compressor comprises a compressor motor(10), a case(20), a cam(30), a piston(40), a spring(50), and a main motor(200). The compressor motor provides a driving force through a hollow shaft. The case has a hole which the shaft of the compressor motor passes through and provided with fluid to be compressed and discharged. The cam is elliptical which and installed to rotate along with the shaft inside the case. The piston moves back and forth by the rotation of the cam so as to compress and discharge the fluid in the case. The spring provides an elastic force for returning the piston to the original state. The main motor includes a shaft which is connected to a drum by passing through the hollow shaft of the compressor motor. |
