PURPOSE: A paint containing tangerine extract is provided to ensure excellent fire resistance and to reduce harmful gas generation. CONSTITUTION: A tangerine paint contains 100 weight parts of tangerine extract, 70-120 weight parts of water, 30-50 weight parts of magnesium oxide(MgO) powder, additionally 20-30 weight parts of aluminum oxide(Al_2O_3) powder and/or 10-15 weight parts of titanium dioxide(TiO_2) powder. The tangerine extract is obtained by exposing tangerine peel to steam and decompressing.
