PURPOSE: An electrolyte solution and a lithium secondary battery containing the same are provided to improve safety because SEI film-forming and recovery are enabled. CONSTITUTION: An electrolyte solution for a secondary battery comprises nonaqueous solvent and ionic salt, a first additive forming a protective film on the surface of an anode active material through polymerization reaction during an initial charge-discharging process, a second additive supplementing the protective film of the anode active material through polymerization reaction during a charge-discharging process after the initial process.
