POWER LINE COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A power line communications device and a method are provided to generate data according to whether clipping in zero crossing spot of an alternating current voltage signal and transceive the data through the power line. CONSTITUTION: A transmission unit(200) of power line communication device includes data generating unit(210) and signal error prevention unit(220). The data generating unit generates data according to whether clipping in zero crossing point of AC(Alternating Current) voltage signal. A zero crossing detector(211) detects the zero crossing spot of AC(Alternating Current) power in the power line. A triac transfers the alternating current voltage signal for predetermined time. The signal error prevention unit prevents the distortion of the zero crossing spot of the alternating current voltage signal.
