#CMT# #/CMT# The sensor (6) has a flexible membrane (11) co-operating with a transmission device (10) that provides, from deformation of the membrane, a value representative of pressure. The membrane is made of amorphous material to optimize dimensions of the sensor. The material has Young's modulus greater than 50 gigapascal, where ratio between elastic limit and the Young's modulus is greater than 0.01. The material comprises a metallic element such as precious metal alloys or precious metallic element e.g. gold, platinum, palladium, rhenium, rhodium, silver, iridium and osmium. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a watch comprising a pressure sensor and a conversion unit for converting a value representative of pressure into a depth value. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Pressure sensor for use in a watch (claimed) i.e. diving watch, which carries-out a depth gauge function. Can also be used for carrying-out altimeter function and meteorological function. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The membrane is made of amorphous material, thus improving the reliability of the sensor when compared to a crystalline membrane, while reducing the diameter and thickness of the membrane. The amorphous material has high elastic limit so as to reduce the risk of plastic deformation of the membrane, and to elastically support high constraints for obtaining high measurement range. The amorphous material is utilized to form the membranes having complex shapes with large precision.
