FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to cardiology. An artificial heart implanted in the pericardial cavity of the patient to replace the removed natural ventricles and containing a rigid body with in-built artificial ventricles, and having couplings with the natural atrial auricles of the patient. The artificial heart contains a first frame integrated with the rigid body and accommodating the first and second openings connected with the ventricles, and a second frame having the third and fourth openings connected with the natural left and right auricles. The first and second frames are detachable from each other to take up a working position in which the first and third, second and fourth openings are opposed. The couplings of one end of one frame to the other frame are shaped so that to bend said frames mutually. The guides are used to direct the frames mutually.
