PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of and device for controlling fabric take-up in circular knitting machine, which automatically take-up a knitted fabric by an appropriate and stable winding tension even in change of a yarn or knitting texture. SOLUTION: Since a knitted fabric take-up is started by a torque control mode, even if a yarn or knitting texture is changed, a proper winding tension is achieved in response to the change. After a take-up state is determined stable, since the take-up state is automatically moved to a position control mode and the knitted fabric take-up is performed, appropriate and stable take-up is carried out.
