PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear structure, which facilitates attachment and detachment of a spare tire. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body rear structure 10, an embedding groove section 94 is formed in the outer surface of a tire cover 73, and a tire cover is provided on the frame part 72 by embedding the frame section 72 into the embedding groove section. Further, right and left front connecting parts 75b and 75a of the frame section are rotatably connected to right and left front support parts 31, and a rear connecting part 83 of the frame section is connected to a rear support part 33 in a vertically movable manner. Thus, the rear connecting part is raised and lowered by the rear support part, whereby a spare tire carrier can be located in a tire storage position P1 and in a tire attachment/detachment position P2.
