PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for reducing an engine deposits, a lubricant concentrate, and a method for it. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition includes (a) a base oil with a lubricating viscosity, (b) an organic molybdenum compound, (c) a deposition reducing amount of a reaction product produced by reacting an alkyl-substituted dicarboxylic acid compound selected from the group consisting of alkyl-substituted dicarboxylic acids, alkyl-substituted dicarboxylic anhydrides, and mixtures thereof with a basic salt of aminoguanidine in an amount sufficient to provide a product of alkyl-bis-3-amino-1,2,4-triazol, and optionally (d) a phenate detergent. The lubricant composition and lubricant concentrate provide engine deposits in an amount less than an amount of engine deposits in the absence of the component (c) and/or the optional component (d).
