PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-sensitivity, single-layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor usable at both positive and negative polarities. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive support and a single-layer type photosensitive layer formed on the conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a charge generating agent, an electron transfer agent represented by general formula (1) and a hole transfer agent represented by general formula (2), wherein the charge generating agent contains an oxytitanyl phthalocyanine having a maximum diffraction peak at 27.2° as a diffraction peak (±0.2°) of Bragg angle 2θ to a characteristic X-ray of CuKα and another phthalocyanine compound.
