PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional self-diagnosis system takes only the faults influencing hardware itself or faults influencing network communication, as detection objects but does not take a parameter rewrite event which does not influence communication, operating states of non-intelligence Hubs at terminals having no IP addresses, and operation states of terminals belonging to network devices, as detection objects. SOLUTION: Parameter set values and an Up/Down state of interface are preliminarily registered with a network device as self-check item data. It is checked whether actually operated parameter values are different from the preliminarily registered values at turning on of power, or periodically, during operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
