PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding device for an opening part of a building, which shields the opening part without significantly spoiling the appearance of the building. SOLUTION: The building 10 includes a building body 11 and a roof 13. A window 17 is arranged on the exterior wall 14 of the building body 11, and an eave soffit plate 31 is arranged on an eaves 25 of the roof 13. The eave soffit plate 31 extends between a roofing nose plate 27 and a corner bead 32. The corner bead 32 is provided with an exterior-wall-side support 32b supporting the exterior-wall-side end of the eave soffit plate 31. The exterior-wall-side support 32b is rotatable. The roofing nose plate 27 is provided with an eave-edge-side support 27b supporting the eave-edge-side end of the eave soffit plate 31. The eave-edge-side support 27b is rotatable and supports the eave-edge-side end of the eave soffit plate 31 and releases the support of the same. When the support of the eave soffit plate 31 by the eave-edge-side support 27b is released, the eave soffit plate 31 is rotated downward under its own weight and is suspended by the corner bead 32.
