PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing an operation sound when applying binding processing to a paper bundle without reducing productivity. SOLUTION: This image forming system includes: an image forming means for forming an image on paper; a postprocessing means including a binding processing part for binding a bundle of the paper together by penetrating a binding needle through the bundle of the paper of forming the image by the image forming means and applying post-processing to the paper of forming the image by the image forming means; and an adjusting means for adjusting a moving speed of the binding needle when the binding processing part of the postprocessing means binds the bundle of the paper together according to at least any content of the content of image forming processing performed by the image forming means and the content of the postprocessing performed by the postprocessing means.
