<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Rankine cycle capturing iron impurities included in a refrigerant. <P>SOLUTION: The Rankine cycle system (10) includes: an electromagnet (150) disposed in a refrigerant path (20) on the upstream side of a turbine (80) driven with a refrigerant as a working fluid for cooling down an internal combustion engine (50); and electric conduction control means (120, 140) for power supply and stoppage of power supply to the electromagnet. According to the Rankine cycle system, the iron impurities included in the refrigerant are attached to the electromagnet while power is supplied to the electromagnet. The iron impurities included in the refrigerant are captured thereby. Since the magnetism of the iron impurities attached to the electromagnet is erased during the power supply stoppage, the iron impurities are removed easily from the electromagnet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
