PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more correctly determine abnormality of a detection signal of a sensor for the shift position and to more precisely fix the shift position of a shift lever even when the detection signal of the sensor is abnormal. SOLUTION: When a sensor signal abnormality determining part 5 determines abnormality of the sensor signal of lengthwise and crosswise row sensors for the shift lever position, a first sensor signal correction action part 6 corrects the abnormal sensor signal. When a first corrected signal abnormality determining part 7 determines combination of the corrected signal and other sensor signals to be normal, the shift position is fixed based on the combination, whereas when combination of the corrected signal and the other sensor signals is determined to be abnormal, a second sensor signal correction action part 8 corrects the abnormal sensor signal. When a second corrected signal abnormality determining part 9 determines combination of the corrected signal and the other sensor signals to be normal, the shift position is fixed based on the combination.
