PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device and a network processing apparatus which are more satisfactory in operability. SOLUTION: The network device includes a network processing part for extracting application data from packet data received via a network; and a CPU connected to the network processing part via a bus and extracts an application header from application data extracted by the network processing section. The network processing section refers to a transfer size management table showing transfer sizes determined by applications, for setting a transfer size and transmits data from the start of application data by the set transfer size, and the CPU extracts the application header from the data transmitted corresponding to the size transferred.
