PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile dust collection electrode of a mobile electrode-type electric dust collector featuring a grounding structure which can inhibit electric current running through a chain from a dust collection plate. SOLUTION: This mobile electrode-type electric dust collector includes the following structural features. First, a plurality of dust collection plates 10 are suspended between a pair of endless chains 44 suspended at a drive sprocket, and a contactor 21, made up of a conducting elastic member, which is interposed between the end parts of the adjacent dust collection plates 10 and comes into contact with the dust collection plate 10 electrically, is arranged. Further, when the adjacent dust collection plates 10 are aligned straight, the adjacent dust collection plates 10 are electrically connected together by bringing the conducting contactor 21 into contact under pressure with the dust collection plate 10.
