To dispense a precise small quantity of powder for colouring of moulded plastics, the powder is received within reservoir 40 and prepared for transfer then transferred Z1 to a chamber having a predetermined volume via a path and by a powder supply part driven by externally supplied power. The powder is compressed within a compression part of the chamber and then a desired quantity of powder Z3 is separated from the compressed powder by a separator and discharged from the chamber to be dispensed to where the powder is to be used. |
