PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve image display quality in a front viewing angle direction when the liquid crystal display device operates at a broad viewing angle mode or a narrow viewing angle mode. CONSTITUTION: Pixels for displaying an image and pixels for controlling a viewing angle are defined on the first substrate(101). The second pixel electrode(107) is formed on a pixel for controlling a viewing angle of the first substrate. The second substrate(111) faces the first substrate. The first color filter(112) is formed on the second substrate to correspond to pixels for displaying an image of the first substrate.
