PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an access time from being prolonged even if the number of files belonging to the same directory or the number of directories increases. SOLUTION: An entry information sequence includes m pieces of entry information corresponding to m directory entries, respectively among n directory entries included in a directory entry sequence. In each piece of entry information, the name information of the directory entry and the arrangement position information indicating an arrangement position in a directory entry sequence of the directory entry are described. An entry information retrieval unit 101 detects entry information corresponding to a file or a directory as a retrieval target from the entry information sequence. A directory entry access unit 106 refers to the arrangement position information of the detected entry information and detects a directory entry corresponding to the retrieval target from the directory entry sequence.
