The method involves applying a coding on an additional data added to main data i.e. video stream, where the coding generates an assembly of length values. A sequence of two packets is formed from the main data and along a predetermined packet formation technique such that another assembly of length values formed by length of each packet of the sequence corresponds to the former assembly of length values generated by the coding. The formed packets are transmitted to a receiver. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising program code instructions for implementing a data transmitting method (2) a storage medium for storing a computer program comprising instructions for implementing a data transmitting method (3) a transmitter for transmitting data to a receiver in the form of packets (4) a receiver for receiving data from a transmitter in the form of packets.
