<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which a time required fo adjusting a position of a movable lens for correcting spherical aberration and a value of a focus balance can be reduced in order to optimize an amplitude level of a TE signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device 1 includes a first searcher 46 which searches for a condition under which the amplitude level of the TE signal is maximized by changing only one of the movable lens position and the focus balance value while focus servo control is performed based on an FE signal, an adjustment line setter 47 which has a tilt α which is previously stored in a memory 5, and sets an adjustment line passing through the movable lens position and the focus balance value retrieved by the first searcher 46, and a second searcher 48 which succeedingly searches for a condition under which the amplitude level of a tracking error signal is maximized by changing the movable lens position and the focus balance value to a plurality of values on the adjustment line while the focus servo control is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
