<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device which performs rotation phase control and phase lock control when driven by a single control valve and, can improve phase lock performance in a restricted phase. <P>SOLUTION: In the valve timing adjusting device, a control valve 60 is moved to a first zone Rl to connect a spark-advance port 661 and a lock port 663 to a main supply port 664 and an exhaust opening 666, respectively, and also moved to a second zone Rf displaced relative to the first zone Rl in a second direction Y to connect both the spark-advance port 661 and the lock port 663 to the main supply port 664. The first zone Rl is a lock zone for locking the rotation phase in the restricted phase by a first main restriction member 32. The first zone Rl has a restriction zone in which a spark-advance supply flow supplied to a spark-advance chamber 22 is restricted to a flow smaller than the flow at a movement end in a first direction X when the spark-advance port 661 communicating with the spark-advance chamber 22 is connected to the main supply port 664. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
